Hike
Hike to the summit of the Clarence Schock Memorial Park at Governor Dick to catch a 360-degree view of Lebanon County and the surrounding four counties including Lancaster, Dauphin, Berks, and York from the top of the famous Governor Dick Tower. The entire park offers over 14 miles (1,100 acres) of hiking, biking, and horse trails and provides habitat for many animal and bird species.
Boulder
Bouldering opportunities are plentiful at Clarence Schock Memorial Park. With countless groups of rare diabase boulders, some climbing routes are just steps from the parking lot and others can be found along trails that weave deep into the forested area.
Learn
The Clarence Schock Environmental Center offers a variety of educational and nature-based activities for. Inside the center, visitors can view bird nests and active honeybee hives, create animal tracks using crayon rubbings, and interact with nature-themed displays and games. The center also provides free activity backpacks and Junior Naturalist booklets that can be signed out for an interactive experience in the forested area outside the environmental center. Fall Foliage Views
Climb the Governor Dick Observation Tower for a bird’s eye view of fall foliage across five counties. As you make your way to the tower, enjoy the forested trails that weave their way through the 1,105-acre Clarence Shock Memorial Park.
