TAKING A BITE OUT OF HUNGER WITH THE WORLD’S LARGEST LEBANON BOLOGNA SANDWICH

Visit Lebanon Valley is teaming up with local businesses to create The World’s Largest Lebanon Bologna Sandwich at the Lebanon Area Fair. Taking place from 5-7pm on Tuesday, July 25,2023, it’s going to be ‘the event of the summer’! With great taste and an even greater impact, the sandwich will not only break records but also help fight hunger in the Lebanon Valley through our friends at the Lebanon County Christian Ministries( LCCM). Featuring Lebanon Bologna from Seltzer’s Smokehouse Meats, the sandwich will be assembled and unveiled during the Fair’s Community Night. All fairgoers are encouraged to watch the build and even enjoy a free slice of the completed sandwich along with plenty of toppings from the accompanying fixin’s bar. The Lebanon Bologna theme will also continue beyond the sandwich with stickers, buttons, and t-shirts. It may not be verified by Guinness World Records, but we promise this sandwich’s going to be big… and full of Lebanon bologna! And while Lebanon Bologna may be the star of the night, we had to make sure the bread would be delicious too! That’s where Chef Brian Peffley from the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center‘s Pastry Arts Program comes in. For over 25 years, Chef Peffley has been sharing his craft with up-and-coming student chefs in Lebanon County through his award-winning pastry arts program. By volunteering his own time and efforts (not to mention a few hundred pounds of bread!), Chef Peffley and the CTC are an integral part of this summer’s event.
