Take A Hike in the Lebanon Valley

Celebrate National Take a Hike Day November 17th in the Lebanon Valley. Get outdoors for some fresh air, beautiful scenery and exercise.

Hike the entire Lebanon Valley Rails to Trails. This would be a great family activity or spend some quality time with your favorite four-legged friend. Follow one of the spur trails off the rail trail. Take the Ice Cream Spur Trail into Mount Gretna or pick up the Union Canal and Tow Path for a historic hike.

Make a day of it at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. A great place to spend the day with family. Try one of the easy trails such as Willow Point, which offers a great view of the lake, or Deer Path Trail. If you’re looking for something a little harder, try Middle Creek Trail and see if you can spot some early arriving winter birds. For something more challenging, try Elder’s Run Trail, Valley View Trail, Millstone Trail or the Horse-shoe Trail. Any of these trails can test your limit.
