Fall Colors in the Lebanon Valley

There are a number of places to see brilliant fall colors in the Lebanon Valley. Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area is one of them. Even though the tour drive is closed, the trees surrounding the impoundment can provided a variety of colors. Brilliant leaf color is displayed on trees surrounding many of the ponds at Middle Creek.

Visit Memorial Lake State Park and walk Lakeside Trail around part of the lake. See the mirror image of the colorful leaves in the mixed forest that rings the lake.

Check out Mt. Gretna without all the summer tourists. Climb the Governor Dick Observation Tower for a bird’s eye view of the second-growth forest and the colors produced by these trees.

Marquette Lake at Ft. Indiantown Gap offers spectacular views of Blue Mountain, adorn in its fall foliage colors, providing a great spot to take fall foliage photos. It’s also a good starting point for a drive through Swatara State Park. Kayak along the tree-lined Swatara Creek or hike a trail for a great fall experience.
