Down on the Farm at Patches Creamery

Did you know that Lebanon Valley has a farm to table creamery? Patches Family Creamery is one place you’ll want to check out this summer. Last week this local farm promoted their homegrown produce, creamery, and dairy farm with an event called Down on the Farm Days. The farm was packed with families who wanted not only an authentic taste, but an authentic experience. Patches welcomed visitors to enjoy a petting zoo, scavenger hunt, balloon artist, and hayrides.

Inside the creamery, the family uses their very own dairy cow’s farm fresh milk used to create all 26 natural flavors. I tried one of Patches wonderful seasonal flavors, peaches and cream. While waiting in line to get a scoop, visitors are able to see how they handcraft their ice cream through two large windows showcasing the kitchen where it is made. They also sell pints and gallons of various flavors to purchase and take home.

In a hurry or don’t feel like getting out of the car? No worries, Patches has a drive through making it quick and easy to get your hands on their sweet treats. Nothing says summer like a cold cone of ice cream on a hot day, so stop down on the farm at Patches Family Creamery in Lebanon, Pa.
