An Adventure with Kayla Williams of Wandering Pine Prints
Adventure is calling! Take a hike and climb an observation tower that overlooks several towns. If you aren’t interested in heights, many other things make this hike worth your time, such as the wildflowers, birds, trees, and other surroundings. If you are into mountain biking or horse riding (BYOH, bring your own horse), the trail supports these options, too! Reward yourself with an amazing stromboli and some downtime at your hotel. A lot of adventure and a little bit of relaxing. What more can you ask for?

Stop 1: Clarence Schock Memorial Park

Add a little fresh air and sunshine to your day by taking a hike at Governor Dick! The trail is very well shaded and mostly rocky. It leads to an observation tower. If you aren’t scared of heights, you can climb ladders up to the top. I hear there’s a fabulous view up there! We parked at the Clarence Schock Environmental Center and the trailhead that leads to the tower was there. You can also find a nice wooden trail that is wheelchair and stroller accessible behind the environmental center.
Stop 2: Mick’s All-American Pub

There’s nothing better than a yummy dinner after a hike! We were craving a stromboli, so we headed over to Mick’s All-American Pub! Instead of dining in, we placed an order on their website, picked our food up, and enjoyed it at our hotel. Mick’s was reasonably priced, and the stromboli was perfection!
Stop 3: Fairfield Inn & Suites

Walk across the street from Mick’s to your hotel room and enjoy dinner on the beautiful outdoor patio. We were feeling quite tired from our busy and adventurous weekend, so we decided to take it easy. The outdoor patio at Fairfield Inn & Suites is lovely. They have a few tables with big umbrellas for your convenience. It was a peaceful evening. We watched the cotton candy sky and the moon while we relaxed with our stromboli and wine.
