Stop 1: Visit Lebanon Valley Welcome Center
Make a stop to take a photo with the valley’s famous cow, Lilly (there’s even a book following her adventures that your kids would certainly love!). Create a postcard-style photo or selfie and use the hashtag #LebanonLilly when sharing on Instagram!
After your photo-op, familiarize yourself with the area! I am confident you will be greeted with a warm smile and some helpful tips when walking into Visit Lebanon Valley. They have a great map on the wall of the towns nestled in their beautiful county. We found their brochures and guides very helpful when visiting the area and referred to them throughout if we needed some inspiration for what to do next during our couple’s getaway!
Stop 2: Fairfield Inn & Suites
Check in to your cozy retreat! From check-in to check-out, the Fairfield Inn & Suites provides nothing but excellent customer service. All staff we interacted with were so kind and oh so helpful! Our hotel room was clean and modern. The hotel, as a whole, was cozy and welcoming.
They provide a yummy, complimentary breakfast and even have milk/cream options for those with sensitivities! I was so happy to see they offered oat milk. Our favorite part of the hotel was the outdoor patio! They also have an indoor pool and fitness center. We highly recommend this stay!
Stop 3: Royal Oaks Farm
Create a floral masterpiece at Royal Oaks Farm! This lovely farm offers pick-your-own flowers or pre-made bouquets. They have vases, mason jars, or buckets to purchase. They have clippers for you to use during your visit for your fresh-cut flowers!
We had such a lovely time exploring the many aisles of beautiful, fresh flowers. Our arrangement was full of earthy fall colors! A week after our visit, our flowers are still healthy.
This is a great stop for anyone! Families, couples, friends, or even a solo adventure. There is a pirate ship playground available for the kiddos. My husband said he had way more fun than expected and would like to go again sometime.
Stop 4: Rising Sun Bar & Kitchen
Head to Rising Sun Bar & Kitchen for some delicious eats and drinks! I ordered the four-cheese pasta with blackened chicken and a raspberry peach margarita, and they were both delicious! The cheese-filled pasta was colorful, which makes any dish better, in my opinion! My husband ordered chicken wings with fries and a draft beer. All of the food was full of flavor, and our waitress was top-notch.
We sat on the newly renovated outdoor patio and enjoyed live music. The musician was fantastic during our visit! I even requested a song, and he did such an amazing job performing it. It is such an inviting setup you’re sure to enjoy. Or, if you’re looking for a breakfast spot to rise and shine, Rising Sun offers breakfast on certain days. Check their website for more information.
