Full Moon Kayak – Memorial Lake State Park

What’s better than seeing the full moon? Watching it from the water! Come out to Memorial Lake for a night paddle and float while observing the night sky, nocturnal wildlife, and the dark! This is NOT an introduction to kayaking and so all participants are required to bring their own kayak, lifejacket, light, and whistle.
Everyone participating must be over the age of 16, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. There is no registration for the event, but all participants must sign in and out before and after the paddle. We’ll launch from Middle Lot Boat Launch at 9pm, so come before to have your craft ready!
Requirements:
- PA Launch permit for all crafts.
- Sound producing device (whistle)
- White light (not a cellphone). A headlamp works well! Glow sticks are also great for keeping track of others in your group.
- Personal Lifejacket, which MUST be worn the entire float.
