Holiday Lights and Family Traditions

Now that all the community trees have been lit and people have their houses decorated, take your family for a drive through your town to look at the decorations. This is something my family did when I was little. My dad would drive down every street in town and we would see how each house was decorated. The last few years of his life I returned the favor and drove my father through our town to see the decorated houses. He was surprised by all the new kinds of decorations, especially all the inflatable decorations.

Create a new tradition this holiday season by visiting Holiday Lights in the Park. This is the second year for the holiday display in Historic Coleman Memorial Park, sponsored by the Community of Lebanon Association. Bring a car load of family and friends and enjoy this 1.5 miles drive through display of 55 exhibits and 100,000 individual light bulbs. Can you spot Coleman the Elf? Take a photo and win a prize! The lights are open Wednesday through Sunday until December 31st. Stop in the Visit Lebanon Valley office, 31 S 8th Street for a discount card.

Take your family for a drive and enjoy a light show.
