Thinking “Outside the Box”

Tom Maiello will discuss the concept of mental flexibility and one’s capacity to think “outside the box.” One example is the character of Nicodemus from the third chapter of the Gospel of John. Living as a Pharisee and as a member of the Sanhedrin, Nicodemus was entrenched in the traditions of the Temple system. Despite the strong cultural, historical and theological foundations within this system, he was curious and willing to pursue the truth no matter where it took him. Even if that pursuit directly challenged the most deeply held traditions of his people. Donations are appreciated.
