The River That Built America

June 19th @ 7:00 pm

This 45-minute presentation offers an intimate, storytelling-driven exploration of the Conestoga River, positioning it as a central character in the American narrative. The program traces the river’s journey from its geologic origins as the “daughter” of the Susquehanna to its role as an industrial powerhouse and a modern recreational gem. With Todd Roy, participants will journey through time—from the legacy of the Susquehannock people to the 19th-century boom of Conestoga wagons and steam power, culminating in the grassroots movement that secured the title of 2026 Pennsylvania River of the Year. Donations are appreciated!
