The Monroe Doctrine with Dr. Bob Frick
June 26th @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Declared by President James Monroe in 1823, it is a U.S. policy warning European powers against further colonization or interference in the Western Hemisphere, establishing separate spheres of influence for Europe and the Americas. In return, the U.S. pledged not to meddle in European affairs, but viewed any new European intervention in the Americas as a hostile act, becoming a cornerstone for U.S. foreign policy and later justifying expansion and involvement in Latin America.
