The Growth Mindset of Heracles

Carol Dweck conducted research on the effects of a growth mindset versus a fixed mindset. Heracles killed his wife and children. Rather than sink into depression, Heracles asked the Delphic Oracle for guidance in how he could make up for what he did and become a better person. Even after he finished his twelve labors, he continued self-improvement until he became a god. We might never become gods, but we can certainly continue to get better every day. With Jennifer Besse.
