Historic Wreath Making Workshop

November 28th @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
$50.00

Celebrate the season with a festive blend of history and creativity at Cornwall Iron Furnace! Join
us for a special Wreath Making Workshop, where you’ll craft a beautiful wreath inspired by
early nineteenth-century holiday traditions. Wreaths like these would have decorated the homes
of families from all walks of life – from miners and furnace workers to the ironmasters of
Cornwall.

Enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere with historical holiday beverages and light
refreshments as horticulturist Alan Jones guides you step-by-step through the process. Using
locally sourced greens and a variety of embellishments, you’ll create a full, natural wreath on a
wire frame, perfect for your front door.

We’ll provide ribbons and decorative accents to choose from, but participants should bring their
own wire cutters, small hand pruners, and garden gloves. You’re also welcome to bring any
special embellishments you’d like to add to make your wreath uniquely yours.

The workshop will take place in the Cornwall Iron Furnace Visitors Center. This adult event is
designed for individuals aged 18 and over.

$50 per person / $40 for Friends of Cornwall Iron Furnace Members
Pre-registration is required
Register by calling the Furnace at 717-272-9711.
