
Dinosaur Rock is a fascinating geological formation located in State Game Lands 145. As the name suggests, this unique outcrop is shaped like a dinosaur and draws hikers, nature lovers, and photographers.
There are two main ways to reach Dinosaur Rock:
- Short Route: A quick 0.3-mile hike from the parking area on Mount Wilson Road: Coordinates 40.235134, -76.508373
- Long Route: A scenic 2.5-mile hike starting at the Clarence Schock Environmental Center: 3283 Pinch Road, Manheim, PA 17545
Located on Pennsylvania State Game Lands, Dinosaur Rock is free to access and open year-round. Visitors should wear bright clothing during hunting season for safety.
Please Note: Dinosaur Rock has been the target of much graffiti over the years. While volunteer efforts and police enforcement have dramatically reduced the amount of graffiti, please be aware that some vandalism may still remain as these efforts continue.
